Student NZ is a service operated by Professional Visa Solutions Limited, trading as Provisas (NZBN 9429053592996), licensed by the Immigration Advisers Authority of New Zealand. These terms govern your use of this website. If anything here is unclear, contact us at contact@studentnz.com.
1. Acceptance
By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. These terms apply whether you are a current client, a prospective client, or a casual visitor.
2. Relationship to your service agreement
If you become a client, your written service agreement is the document that governs our case work on your behalf. That agreement takes precedence over these terms wherever they overlap on engagement matters.
These terms cover website use only: what you can do on this site, how we handle the content of the site, and what we do not accept liability for through the site.
3. About the information on this site
The information on this site is general guidance about studying in New Zealand and New Zealand immigration. It is not personal immigration advice. New Zealand immigration policy changes regularly, and what is correct at the time of writing may not be correct when you read it.
For personal advice on your specific situation, book a consultation with one of our IAA-licensed advisers. Only personal advice from a licensed immigration adviser can be relied on for an actual visa application.
If you submit an enquiry or request a callback, our response is a starting conversation, not formal advice. Formal advice happens during your consultation, in writing, and under a written service agreement.
4. Acceptable use
When you use this website:
- Provide accurate information when you contact us, book a consultation, or submit a form.
- Use the site for its intended purpose: learning about Student NZ, getting in touch, and booking a consultation.
- Do not impersonate any person, including any Student NZ adviser or staff member.
- Do not attempt to access parts of the site that are not made publicly available.
- Do not scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content from the site without our written permission.
- Do not use the site to send spam, malicious content, or anything that breaches New Zealand law.
We may suspend or block access for users who breach these acceptable-use terms.
5. Intellectual property
The content on this site (text, layout, design, images, and brand) is owned by Professional Visa Solutions Limited or licensed to us. You may read it, share links to it, and quote short extracts with attribution. You may not:
- Reproduce significant portions for commercial purposes without our written permission
- Repackage the content as your own work
- Use our name, logo, or licence numbers in a way that could mislead readers about who they are dealing with
Logos of third parties shown on the site (Immigration New Zealand, the IAA, partner institutions) belong to those parties and appear under fair use or with permission.
6. No guarantees about visa outcomes
We provide professional immigration advisory services regulated by the Immigration Advisers Authority. We apply skill, current Immigration New Zealand policy knowledge, and case experience to every engagement.
We do not guarantee (and cannot guarantee) visa outcomes. Visa decisions are made by Immigration New Zealand under their statutory and policy framework. Factors outside our control include:
- Changes to Immigration New Zealand policy and operational instructions
- Processing capacity and timelines at Immigration New Zealand branches
- Individual case officer decisions
- Material changes in your circumstances during processing
- Government and Ministerial policy decisions
This is consistent with Schedule clause 3 of the IAA Code of Conduct 2014, which prohibits licensed advisers from guaranteeing application outcomes.
7. Third-party links and embeds
This site links to and embeds content from third parties, including:
- Immigration New Zealand (immigration.govt.nz)
- Immigration Advisers Authority (iaa.govt.nz)
- HubSpot Meetings (for booking consultations)
- WhatsApp (for messaging us)
We do not control these third parties. Their content and behaviour are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for content on those sites or their privacy practices. Visit them at your own discretion.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- The website is provided "as is" with no warranties beyond those required by New Zealand consumer protection law (notably the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, where applicable).
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from your use of the website.
- Where we are liable for direct losses arising from website use, our total liability is limited to NZ$1,000.
These limits do not apply where you are a client and the matter relates to case work under your service agreement (that agreement governs liability for case work), or where New Zealand law does not permit the limitation.
9. Complaints and disputes
If you have a complaint about our services, email us at contact@studentnz.com with the subject line "Complaint" and a clear description. We aim to acknowledge within five working days and resolve complaints within 14 working days of receipt.
If you are not satisfied with our response, or would rather raise the concern directly with the regulator, you can complain to the Immigration Advisers Authority at iaa.govt.nz (email info@iaa.govt.nz, phone 0508 422 695). The IAA independently handles complaints about licensed adviser conduct.
If we cannot resolve a website or terms dispute between us, you may pursue dispute resolution through the New Zealand courts under New Zealand law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our practices, services, or applicable law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For substantive changes, we may also notify currently engaged clients by email. Casual website visitors are responsible for checking the "Last updated" date.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
12. Disclaimer
General information only. Content published on this website is intended to provide general information about studying in New Zealand and New Zealand immigration only. It does not constitute immigration advice, legal advice, or any other professional advice. Immigration law and policy change frequently; while we make every effort to keep information accurate, we cannot guarantee it reflects the most current requirements of Immigration New Zealand.
No adviser–client relationship. Reading content on this website, submitting an enquiry, or requesting a callback does not create an adviser–client relationship. That relationship is only established when you enter into a written service agreement with a licensed immigration adviser.
Seek licensed advice. Every immigration situation is different. We strongly recommend you seek advice from a licensed immigration adviser before making decisions about a visa application. You can verify the licence status of any adviser at iaa.govt.nz. Immigration New Zealand is the authoritative source for visa requirements, fees, and processing times; always verify current requirements at immigration.govt.nz.
